Core Research Facilities

The research programs of our faculty have access to a wide range of modern scientific instrumentation and resources, both within the onsite laboratories of the School of Pharmacy and across the university in the core research facilities of our Rutgers affiliates. As researchers within Rutgers Biomedical and Health Sciences, pharmacy faculty and students benefit from a strong interdisciplinary collaborative research network, with many opportunities to utilize the university’s specialized facilities, technologies, services, and expertise.

Cell and DNA Repository Services and Materials

RUCDR Infinite Biologics provides biobanking services and biomaterials as well as scientific and technical support for researchers working to understand, diagnose, treat, and cure disease.

Animal Facilities

Rutgers is committed to the responsible and ethical care of animals and is accredited by the AAALAC. Our animal facilities include the Rutgers Animal Housing and Surgery Facilities, Center for Cancer Prevention Research animal facility, and Molecular Imaging Center.

Nanotechnology, Material Science, and Engineering Facilities

The Institute for Advanced Materials, Devices, and Nanotechnology houses research facilities and instrumentation that support science and technology driven by the atomic scale and nanoscale manipulation of materials.

Molecular Histology Services

The Molecular Histology Center, located next door to our building in the Environmental and Occupational Health Sciences Institute (EOHSI), supports researchers in performing a variety of quantitative and qualitative tissue section-based assays.

Flow Cytometry and Cell Sorting Services

The Flow Cytometry Core Facility  provides instrumentation and expertise in flow cytometry and cell sorting and is located in the Rutgers Cancer Institute of New Jersey.
