Research Interests

• Evaluate the effects of neuroinflammation on expression of transporter MDR1 and herbicide paraquat levels and toxicity
• Renal Efflux Transporters as modulators of heavy metal toxicity
• Characterization of transporters MRP2 SNPs in cisplatin-induced nephrotoxicity
• Identification of kidney injury markers in cisplatin-induced nephrotoxicity in cancer patients
• Investigation of the role of placenta transporters in maternal-fetal disposition of drugs and toxicants
