Miscellaneous Information

  • The RU ID Card

During orientation you will receive your RU ID Card. This card serves not only as your ID card, but also as a library card, gives you access to recreation facilities and computer labs, as well as a number of other services.  If you do not receive yours at orientation, please see Elissa Glinn (Room 318 EMSOP) for assistance.

  • Medicinal Chemistry Computer Lab

The computer lab located on the third floor of the Pharmacy Building is accessed via a key card lock. Ask Elissa Glinn (Room 318), the Department Administrative Coordinator, to program the lock to accept your RU ID Card.

  • Setting up Computer and email Accounts

After you have a net id you should set up an email account. This can be easily done on-line from the computer lab. Once you have your new email account (your address should look like: net id@scarletmail.rutgers.edu; note that TAs may also have an account on the faculty computer system, @pharmacy.rutgers.edu) please advise Elissa Glinn of your address so it may be posted.

  • Keys

Please see Elissa Glinn if you need to obtain access off hours to the Pharmacy Building or keys for the laboratories. If you are a Teaching Assistant you will also be given a key for the TA Office.  All keys must be signed for through Elissa Glinn.
