Rutgers EMSOP students Amy Hu, Thomas Hong, Jian Guo (Ken Kwok), and Kevin Pang, along with advisors Saira Jan and Luigi Brunetti, were recognized for placing 3rd among eight finalists in the 20th Annual National Academy of Managed Care Pharmacy P&T Competition. The students evaluated the clinical and economic evidence for Dupixent® (dupilumab) for the asthma indication in patients 12 years and older within a hypothetical managed care plan. This year, a total of 69 schools of pharmacy registered to compete in the 2020 P&T Competition. The team from Rutgers University navigated the unique challenges of the COVID-19 pandemic by performing the final presentation virtually and placed behind the University of California-San Francisco, first place recipients, and the University of North Carolina, second place recipients.
