Congratulations! You have almost completed the
coursework and rotations you need to receive your Doctor
of Pharmacy Degree from Rutgers, The State University of
New Jersey upon the recommendation of the Ernest Mario School
of Pharmacy Faculty.
Please take a moment to review the material outlined
below. This includes information regarding the Invitations, Information
on
Regalia, Diploma Options and Frames,
and Certification
of Education for Licensure.
INVITATIONS
Students are eligible to receive souvenir invitations from the School at this
time. Invitations will be available in the Office of Academic
Services during
normal
business
hours,
Monday
through
Friday, 8:30 AM to 4:30 PM after April 21, 2008.
Please Note: Invitations
are not required for guests to
attend Commencement.
INFORMATION
ON REGALIA
All candidates for degrees at the University are required to wear appropriate
academic
regalia. The doctoral hood (olive felt with red silk), gown (black with felt
bands on the arms), and cap or motarboard (black) make up the regalia. Members
of the Rho Chi Honor Society may choose to wear a purple cord in conjunction
with their regalia;
members of Phi Lambda Sigma may wear a green cord.

ARRIVAL TIME FOR
PROCESSION
All candidates should arrive at the College Avenue Gym for the line-up and
procession which will start promptly at 9:30 A.M.
DIPLOMA
OPTIONS AND FRAMES
Diplomas will be awarded to you on stage by Dean Molloy.
The diploma you will receive at Commencement is a standard
8.5" by
11" design.
Students are welcome to purchase after
graduation a larger 11" by 14" diploma from the
Office of the Registrar. There is a charge of $20.00 for the
larger diploma. Information regarding the larger format will
be included with the diploma you receive.
A copy of the Oath of the
Pharmacist will
also be included with your diploma. This copy is suitable
for framing and we encourage you to display is prominently
in your office or home.
DIPLOMA FRAMES
Diploma frames may be purchased through the Women's League of Rutgers University at
the following website at

Additionally, the University Bookstore carries an assortment of frames in the
store.
