The specific mission of the Rutgers University School of Pharmacy, Office of Continuing Education is to serve the educational needs of the pharmacy practitioners of New Jersey through the provision of educational programs designed to empower the participant, achieve, retain, and strengthen professional competencies.
Rutgers University, through its School of Pharmacy, has provided continuing education programs for pharmacists since the late 1940s. From the time when the first requirements for CE credits for pharmacist licensure renewal were instituted in New Jersey and elsewhere, Rutgers has offered approved CE credits on an annual basis. Since ACPE accreditation for continuing education was first available, Rutgers has been an ACPE-accredited provider.
Rutgers has a long and proud history as a provider of quality continuing education programs in pharmacy. The annual Rutgers pharmaceutical conference was instituted in 1951, and has been in continuous operation since that time. We offer many live programs with our stellar faculty serving as many of the presenters. We also offer certificate programs in diabetes education and in immunization and on-line and home study programs. The University has a deep commitment to providing quality continuing education programs.
