Saira Chaudhry earned her Doctor of Pharmacy degree from the Philadelphia College of Pharmacy at the University of Sciences in Philadelphia in 2005.  She then continued her training and completed an ASHP accredited pharmacy practice residency with an emphasis in ambulatory care at Brooklyn Hospital Center in Brooklyn, NY and an infectious diseases specialty residency at the University of Pittsburgh Medical Center.  Upon completion of her post-graduate training, Dr. Chaudhry joined as a Clinical Assistant Professor with the Ernest Mario School of Pharmacy, Rutgers University.  She is also currently the infectious diseases pharmacist at Jersey Shore University Medical Center.  Dr. Chaudhry works alongside the infectious diseases attendings and fellows to provide optimal antimicrobial therapy and management.  She also attends the HIV clinic at Jersey Shore University Medical center and assists in providing superior HIV care.  Dr. Chaudhry’s research interests focus on antifungal therapy and gram-negative resistance among antimicrobials.  In addition, she is an active member of Infectious Diseases Society of North America, Society of Infectious Diseases Pharmacists, American College of Clinical Pharmacy, and American Society of Health-System Pharmacists.
