About Us

The AMCP Rutgers Student Chapter was established in 2004 to educated students about Managed Care and expose pharmacy students to career opportunities within managed care. AMCP is the national professional society dedicated to the concept and practice of pharmaceutical care in managed health care environments. AMCP's mission is to promote the development and application of pharmaceutical care in order to ensure appropriate health care outcomes for all individuals. Its sole purpose is to represent the views and interest of managed care pharmacy. The Academy has more than 4,800 members nationally that provide comprehensive coverage to the more than 200 million Americans served by managed care. AMCP's mission is to empower its members to serve society by using sound medication management principles and strategies to achieve positive patient outcomes.
